Good news for Black genre screenwriters.
All of this is pertinent information to put into application as screenwriters. There was a fair balance between the negative impacts and the positive wins. However, this particular section provided powerful inspiration when the article mentioned, “Success in genre gives Black screenwriters and directors the creative authority (a stronger position to negotiate) that traditionally only white, male auteurs were granted, as seen with Jordan Peele, who is now one of America’s leading directors regardless of race.” Thank you.
Very insightful articles about the top 5 trends. I have been seeing a lot of content from African countries on Netflix. There is a lot of potential to partner with our African brother and sisters on co-productions. By the way, I noticed the audio cut out after five or six minutes. Great info overall. Thanks, David.
