  • In a once thriving self-governed town a financial crisis strikes and removes half of the small businesses plus some of its citizens. Danny’s Electricity, Valley County Water, plus more were the pioneers of all the town’s necessities. The commotion of people selling real estate and leaving in a panic distracts everyone from a company who sets up shop at the old Valley County Water building. The majority of townspeople stay and manage with beliefs that the inflation will tide over. Later into the weekend each member of the community receives a letter to a block party thrown by a company called Better Bills.

The whole town attends out of curiosity and hopes of having a good time while adjusting to a new normal. There is a surplus of food vendors ranging from kettle corn, fried cheese dogs, gelato, to pupusas. A kids corner fill with arcade games, water guns, soccer, and art/craft workshops. For the adults a few pop-up bars, a sports viewing zone with massive flatscreen, 4k tv’s, and lounge areas with fine dining cuisine. Everyone indulges in the luxuries before them. But everything must come with a price the citizens believe, as each person attempts to pay they are gently waved off and told with a smile, “It’s complimentary”. No one raises any concerns or ask any questions about the mysterious hosts who comped practically an entire festival for the community. They continue to enjoy themselves until sundown. Then group by group they head to their homes. The next morning at 6:36am every townsperson receives a letter in their email from Better Bills.

  • It’s 2024 and Halloween in Houston. It’s the witching season. Private investigator and former detective, Richard Baston, is in a race against time to find his 18-year-old niece Lisa. For the past three years, young Black and brown teens have gone missing. Their families are in turmoil. At every turn, Richard comes to a dead end. But when he investigates the reclusive old money Lancaster family in Houston’s elite River Oaks neighborhood, his radar goes off. The Lancasters’ live-in caretakers, the Walters, seem like amiable people, but Richard suspects they are hiding a secret. Beatrice, the portly matriarch of the Walters clan, runs the Lancaster household with her husband caretaker Joe. Their daughter Katrina, a shy and strikingly beautiful young woman, serves as the governess for the Lancaster children. Sweet Katrina gives tarot readings on the side to put herself through college. The Walters clan might appear innocent on the outside, but they hide a sinister and hideous secret. They are really the Bender Clan. In 1899, the notorious and murderous Bender Clan were on the run. Near death, the family made a pact with the devil to ensure everlasting life and anonymity in return for fresh souls. Throughout the years, the enterprising Benders made lucrative deals with the wealthy around the world to concoct a potion that would allow the extraordinarily rich to live forever. The catch? The potion can only be made with blood from teenagers. The Walters lure unsuspecting teens via a dating app engineered by the tech guru of the Walter’s clan – John Jr. Walters. The victims must be people society wouldn’t miss – people that are deemed disposable. Black and brown people. The Lancasters get kickbacks from their rich friends and the Walters dispose of the bodies. No one is the wiser, until Richard finds out the truth. Then all hell breaks loose as he desperately fights to save his niece before she becomes the Walters/Bender Clan’s next victim.
